Description: This 2,232-mile long highway was hastily constructed in 1942 following Pearl Harbor. Today it is a mostly paved two-lane route through some of the best scenery in North America. We think everyone should do it at least once in their lifetime.

Arizona Hot Springs

Description: 6.5-mile roundtrip hike through a beautiful canyon down to the Colorado River, where a side canyon leads to sandbag formed hot springs pools.  Get there early to avoid crowds and afternoon heat.  Popular canoeing destination.
